Virginia Court-Referred ADR Program Statistics through the 2008-09 Fiscal Year

These statistics "track the progress and growth of ADR (alternative dispute resolution) in Virginia's courts" (p.13), including mediation and judicial settlement conferences. In fiscal year 2008-09, court-related mediation expenditures were $1,860,775, as compared to $55,715 in 1995-05 and $1,204,410 in 2002-03. Additionally, the number of child custody, visitation and support mediations conducted rose from 4,024 in 2000-2001 to 11,240 in 2008-2009. The statistics also provide information about various services available throughout the state, as well as settlement conference expenditures.
