Uniform Rules Regulating North Carolina Child Custody and Visitation Mediation

North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts. Mar. 1, 2014
https://www.nccourts.gov/assets/documents/local-rules-forms/1229.pdf?bbjy2yAslmAGfkNBP4Bt65P3PS161EbF

These rules outline procedures for the administration of the custody and visitation mediation program. Under these rules, all actions involving issues as to the custody or visitation of a minor child shall be ordered to mediation, unless otherwise waived. The rules discuss issues such as mediator qualifications and training, orientation sessions, attendance requirements, and mediator neutrality. The rules also outline procedures for conducting the mediation sessions themselves, such as scheduling, mediator authority, confidentiality, and program evaluations.
