This rule establishes a voluntary mediation program for all cases filed under the Federal Trademark Act of 1946 (the "Lanham Act"). Appendix B "Procedures for Voluntary Mediation Program for Lanham Act Cases" provides information on how the program operates. Parties wishing to pursue mediation will have the option to select a mediator from an approved list of mediators from the court. If parties do not wish to participate in mediation, they must file a statement to the court detailing their reasons for not participating in the program.
