Texas Online Dispute Resolution Proposed Policy Framework

Office of Court Administration, Civil Justice Committee. Jul. 6, 2020
http://www.txcourts.gov/media/1449780/civil-justice-committee-2020_0923_final.pdf

This proposed policy framework (found in Attachment A) is intended to provide information to the Civil Justice Committee of the Texas Office of Court Administration and other state policy makers as they seek to enact policies to guide the development of Online Dispute Resolution (commonly known as ODR) systems in Texas. The proposed policy sets forth overarching principles for effective ODR platforms, addresses the creation of a required local ODR plan and the development and structure of a local plan. These plans address a variety of topics including support for court staff and users, monitoring and evaluation of the ODR platform, providing notice to users, accessibility, impartiality and efficiency.
