Standards of Conduct for Certified New York State Community Dispute Resolution Center Mediators

The New York State Office of Alternative Dispute Resolution Programs. Jan. 1, 2009
http://ww2.nycourts.gov/sites/default/files/document/files/2018-07/Standards_of_Conduct.pdf

Developed by the New York State Office of Alternative Dispute Resolution Programs, these standards of conduct have been adapted from the American Arbitration Association, the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution and the Association of Conflict Resolution's Revised Model Standards of Conduct. These standards reflect the standards of conduct that mediators who serve for the New York Community Dispute Resolution Center must emulate. The standards cover self-determination, impartiality, conflicts of interest, competence, confidentiality, the mediation process, advertising, and a mediator's responsibilities to the medaition profession.
