Brenda E. Morrison; Dorothy Vaandering. Apr. 1, 2012
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/233234044_Restorative_Justice_Pedagogy_Praxis_and_Discipline

This article advocates for the usage of restorative justice in schools as an alternative to traditional practices such as suspensions, expulsions, etc. Courts may find this article helpful as it also provides historical information on restorative justice principles more generally and how it applies to juveniles. As the authors note, restorative justice focuses on understanding an individual's behavior in the context of prioritizing relationships, nurturing motivational bonds of belonging, and supporting individual development and social responsibility. The article also includes number of international studies which show the positive effects restorative justice concepts can have.
