Order Adopting the North Carolina Canons of Ethics for Arbitrators

North Carolina Court System. Sep. 9, 1999
https://www.nccourts.gov/assets/inline-files/NC_Canons_of_Ethics_for_Arbitrators.pdf?K6Fqwogv6q6NAc35TjfYeT3QBCsgMR31

This order adopts a code of ethics for arbitrators in court-ordered, non-binding arbitration in North Carolina. The canons address issues of fairness, impartiality, arbitrator's avoiding impropriety, arbitrator decisions, confidentiality and arbitrator obligations under each canon if appointed by one party. If these canons conflict with state or federal rules, the canons will be superseded.
