Oklahoma Statutes Title 12, Chap. 38A-1831, et seq: Choice in Mediation Act

Oklahoma Legislature. Nov. 1, 2002
http://www.oscn.net/applications/OCISWeb/DeliverDocument.asp?CiteID=391344

This statute authorizes "any county, municipality, accredited law school, school district, board, commission, department, or agency" of Oklahoma to create programs to provide or refer cases to mediation. These programs are not required to operate under the Oklahoma Dispute Resolution Act. The statute provides a list of alternative methods programs may use to train mediators or refer cases to mediation. The statute requires programs to create mediator standards of conduct and mediator grievance procedures, and to disclose mediator qualifications to parties.
