https://www.supremecourt.ohio.gov/LegalResources/Rules/superintendence/Superintendence.pdf

Under this rule, a division of the court of common pleas, municipal court, and county court shall consider, and may adopt, a local rule providing for mediation. That rule shall include procedures for ensuring that parties may participate, screening for domestic violence, encouraging appropriate referrals, and prohibiting mediation when necessary. Specific provisions are listed for rules dealing with child abuse, neglect, dependency, domestic relations, and juvenile matters. The rule also outlines qualifications and training requirements for mediators.
