New York Community Dispute Resolution Centers Program 2007-2008 Annual Report

This report describes the work of the New York Community Dispute Resolution Centers Program (CDRCP) from April 1, 2007 through March 31, 2008. In 2007-2008, 20,612 mediations and other dispute resolution processes took place, with custody/visitation/divorce cases making up 30 percent of cases, followed by civil cases at 27 percent and criminal matters at 11 percent. The report addresses issues of funding, qualifications and training, among other topics, and states that 8,794 people were trained in mediation and conflict management by conflict dispute resolution centers in fiscal year 2007-2008.
