New York Community Dispute Resolution Centers Program 2001-2002 Annual Report

Office of Alternative Dispute Resolution Programs. Sep. 30, 2002
http://www.nycourts.gov/ip/adr/Publications/Annual_Reports/AR01-02.pdf

This report describes the work of the New York Community Dispute Resolution Centers Program (CDRCP) from April 1, 2001 through March 31, 2002. The report discusses the work of centers throughout the state, and includes certification standards for mediators in the centers. In 2001-2002, 27,232 conciliations, mediations and arbitrations took place involving 63,730 individuals, with 86 percent of cases mediated or conciliated reaching a voluntary agreement. Approximately 40 percent of referrals to the program came from the courts, with an increase in this fiscal year of family case referrals. Finally, this report addresses training of neutrals and program management, and provides a list of agencies that contract with CDRCP.
