New Jersey Review Process for Complaints Against Mediators on Court-Approved Mediation

New Jersey Supreme Court. Aug. 7, 2007
http://www.judiciary.state.nj.us/notices/2007/n070807a.pdf

This document describes the review process for complaints submitted against mediators in court-connected mediation programs. Complaints are submitted to the Advisory Committee on Mediator Standards. When a complaint is submitted, the Manager of Complementary Dispute Resolution Programs or a Committee member first attempts to resolve it informally. If that does not succeed, the Committee reviews the complaints and determines what, if any, action will be taken. The mediator has 30 days from the Committee's decision to appeal.
