The standards address awareness of self-determination; education and training; a mediator's duty to assess and inform; impartiality and conflicts of interest; disclosure of fees, participant decision-making; confidentiality; best interest of the child; child neglect or abuse; domestic intimate partner abuse; suspension of the mediation process; advertising and mediator competency.
