Nebraska Revised Statutes 25-2901 - 25-2921: Nebraska Dispute Resolution Act

Nebraska Legislature. Enacted 1991; amended May 2019
https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/search_range_statute.php?begin_section=25-2901&end_section=25-2921

This statute establishes the Office of Dispute Resolution, which will encourage the formation of and support dispute resolution centers in the state, provide training programs for mediators and collect statistical data on the use of ADR in the state. The act also establishes the Advisory Council on Dispute Resolution, which will advise the director of the office on the administration of the program. The act also outlines requirements dispute resolution centers must meet to qualify for state grants from the Dispute Resolution Cash Fund. Finally, the act sets basic guidelines for dispute resolution programs, including qualifications for mediators, confidentiality and the enforceability of agreements. This act was amended in May 2019 to include restorative justice.
