Model Rule for the Lawyer as Third-Party Neutral

Nov. 1, 2002
https://static.cpradr.org/docs/Third-Party-netural-create-new-cover-page-2012.pdf

The CPR-Georgetown Ethics Commission drafted this model rule for ultimate adoption into the American Bar Association's Model Rules of Professional Conduct and state lawyer ethics rules. This model is proposed to help regulators draft rules regarding lawyer ethics for those who are in the ADR practice area and to guide lawyers who practice both representative and neutral legal work. The Model Rule addresses both ethical and professional responsibility issues faced by lawyers who serve as third-party neutrals, including conflicts of interest, disqualifications or Ascreens, confidentiality, neutrality, fees, disclosures, competence and diligence.
