This document outlines the required standards of conduct for Michigan court Mediators. The standards address party self-determination, impartiality, conflicts of interest, competence, confidentiality, safety of mediation, quality fo the mediation process and fees. These standards also address the advancement of the mediation practice and calls on mediators to promote mediation by fostering diversity within the field of mediation and making mediation accessible.
