Interim Michigan Mediator Training Standards and Procedures

Michigan Supreme Court Office of Dispute Resolution. Nov. 3, 2020
https://courts.michigan.gov/Administration/SCAO/OfficesPrograms/ODR/Documents/Mediator%20Training%20Standards%20and%20Procedures.pdf

Michigan's Mediator Training Standards and Procedures outline the process for approving general civil and domestic relations training programs through the State Court Administrative office. The guide outlines the structural requirements of mediator training, the content and instructional requirements for general civil and domestic relations mediator training programs, general civil and domestic relations mediator qualifications, and the program approval process.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, these standards have recently been updated to include interim amendments which are included throughout the standards and are underlined. The newly added interim amendments expand the standards to encompass online mediation and online mediation training.
