Michigan Community Dispute Resolution Act

Michigan Legislature. Dec. 28, 1993
http://legislature.mi.gov/doc.aspx?mcl-Act-260-of-1988

This act creates the Community Dispute Resolution Program to provide conciliation, mediation or other alternative dispute resolution services through community dispute resolution centers. Courts may refer civil cases to community dispute resolution centers approved under this act. The program is funded by the Community Dispute Resolution Fund, which is administered by the state court administrator. In order to be approved and receive funding, a center must provide mediators who have completed a court-approved training program, offer free services for indigent parties, and meet other requirements listed in the act.
