The Maryland Standards of Conduct for Mediators

Maryland Mediation and Conflict Resolution Office. Jan. 1, 2020
https://www.courts.state.md.us/sites/default/files/import/macro/pdfs/mdstandardsofconductformediators.pdf

Recently updated, these standards of conduct replace the Standards of Conduct for Mediators, Arbitrators and other ADR practitioners. These Standards of Conduct are intended to guide mediators, help set appropriate expectations for mediation participants, and promote public confidence in mediation. These standards provide general ethical principles that should be followed by all mediators and cover topics like self-determination, impartiality, conflicts of interest, competence, confidentiality, quality and integrity of the mediation process, advertising and solicitation, fees, and the advancement of the mediation practice (includes increasing diversity).
