The Maryland Mediation and Conflict Resolution Office (MACRO), originally called the Maryland ADR Commission, was established in 1998 by the Honorable Robert M. Bell, Chief Judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals. MACRO 'promotes appropriate use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in every field and supports projects in courts, schools, community mediation centers, the State's Attorney's Office, juvenile justice programs and government agencies.' The website contains the ADR Commission's Practical Action Plan, descriptions of the Office's current initiatives, reports and studies regarding ADR in Maryland, mediator resources and other information.
