This chapter outlines the procedure for arbitration. In Kentucky, an agreement to submit a controversy to arbitration or a provision to submit to arbitration is valid, enforceable and irrevocable. This chapter outlines court appointment of arbitrators, proceedings to compel or stay arbitration, hearings, awards, and appeals. 

This chapter does not apply to arbitration agreements between employers and employees and insurance contracts.
