Implicit Bias: Primer for Courts

Jerry Kang. Aug. 1, 2009
https://www.ncsc.org/__data/assets/pdf_file/0025/14875/kangibprimer.pdf

This primer was produced by the National Center for State Courts as a part of the National Campaign to Ensure the Racial and Ethnic Fairness of America's State Courts. The primer discusses implicit biases (inherent stereotypes and discriminatory attitudes that individuals have that they are unaware of having). The primer discusses how to test for implicit biases and the importance of court systems identifying and managing these biases.
