Illinois Supreme Court - DuPage County Mandatory Court-Annexed Arbitration Project: Final Evaluation Report

Collins, John N.; Ford, Nancy L.; Wassenberg, Pinky. Jan. 1, 1992

The report states, in part: "The DuPage County arbitration program met its initial goal of processing arbitration-eligible cases faster than was possible before arbitration was implemented and of ensuring that litigants and lawyers are as satisfied or more satisfied with the mandatory arbitration process than they are with the regular court process. The program is administered efficiently. Whether similar outcomes were achieved is less certain. Cost savings to the court may have occurred, but the arbitration program did not result in savings of time, effort or expense to the litigants."
