The local rules for Illinois' 15th Judicial Circuit serving Carroll. Davies, Jo, Lee, Ogle, and Stephenson Counties.

Rule 9A: Mediation in Cases involving Child Custody or Visitation: This rule governs the Circuit's Child Custody and Visitation Mediation Program and mandates mediation for all child custody and visitation disputes. The rule discusses the qualifications and duties of the mediator, as well as general procedures for selecting a mediator and conducting mediation. The rule also stipulates that the mediator may not disclose information obtained during mediation, except where there is a danger of imminent harm to a party or child.

Rule 16: Civil Mediation Program Rules: These rules govern the Circuit's Civil Mediation Program. Judges may order or parties may request mediation in civil cases with monetary claims over $50,000. Parties may select their own mediator, or the court may appoint one from a court roster of certified mediators. The rule addresses scheduling and conducting mediation sessions, attendance requirements, confidentiality, mediator qualifications and compensation, and the duties of the trial judge for mediation.
