This report outlines alternative dispute resolution (ADR) programs in Georgia courts from July 2005 through June 2006, focusing on mediation, arbitration and early neutral evaluation. In fiscal year 2006, 34,649 cases were referred to ADR programs with 25,198 completing an ADR process, a steady increase from the 16,363 cases referred and 10,503 completed in 1997. Of the 25,198 cases mediated in 2006, 18,593 resulted in either full or partial agreements. The report proceeds to provide ADR statistics for the superior, state, probate, magistrate and juvenile courts as well as program descriptions for individual courts.
