This statute establishes a community mediation advisory board, which advises the chief justice of the district court department on "matters pertaining to the utilization and role of community mediation in the district court department." The five-member board is appointed by the chief justice, who is also responsible for appointing a coordinator of community mediation. This position is responsible for performing duties related to community mediation as assigned by the chief justice.
