The Oregon Mediator Competency Work Group was convened jointly by the Oregon Dispute Resolution Commission and the Oregon Mediation Association in the interest of implementing a statewide dialogue that would result in a recommended course of action to ensure the competency of mediators. The report outlines the process the Work Group used to identify and discuss the issues. Recommendations are listed, as well as documents created by the Work Group in the course of their discussions, such as a core competencies chart and a chart of practice area core valuates and outcomes.
