Court-Ordered Mediations in Arkansas: 2008

Arkansas Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission. Jan. 1, 2008

This report presents statistics on Arkansas' alternative dispute resolution program based on 381 statistical reporting forms collected by the Arkansas Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission between September 1, 2007, and August 31, 2008. Cases included in the report were ordered by the Arkansas Circuit Courts and the forms were completed by certified mediators. Of the cases ordered to mediation, 150 were civil, 135 were domestic relations, 90 were juvenile and six cases were probate. Further information collected includes percentages for whether mediation actually took place, whether all issues were sent to mediation or only limited issues, how many mediation sessions were ultimately held, total time spent in mediation sessions, and the number of mediations ordered by county. A copy of the reporting form is included.
