County's Foreclosure Mediation Program Streamlined

Schmidt, Sanford J.. The Telegraph, Sep. 1, 2012

This article discusses changes to the mediation process in the Madison County, Illinois, foreclosure mediation program. The court removed a screening process to verify homeowners' financial eligibility to participate in the program. The court's goal is to streamline the case management process in order to handle the program's increasing caseload. At the time of publication, there were 294 cases in the program. Sixty-one cases had been resolved through mediation.
