Created as a part of the National Center for State Court's (NCSC) Court Statistics Project, this resource provides guidance to courts on how to collect race and ethnicity data for their court programs. The guide explores and answers questions like (1) should courts collect rate and ethnicity data, (2) are there national standards regarding race and ethnicity data, (3) what questions should be considered prior to collecting race & ethnicity data, (4) how can a court collect race and ethnicity data, (5) does a court have to release race and ethnicity data, and (6) what are barries to data collection.
