California Family Code Section 3160-3165: Mediation of Custody and Visitation Issues: General Provisions

This section of the code requires each superior court to make a mediator available for custody and visitation disputes. It stipulates that these mediations will be governed by standards of practice set by the Judicial Council and instructs courts to develop mediator qualifications and local rules for their mediation programs.
