The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of court-connected mediation programs in specific Northern Illinois circuit courts. This was done by looking at settlement rates by mediator, case type and jurisdiction. Additionally, the study reported responses from surveyed judges, attorneys and mediators.
