These guidelines address mediation in disputes involving the Americans with Disabilities Act. The guidelines address: 1) Program and Case Administration (program development, disability access to mediation, mediator recruitment and selection, party capacity, party preparedness, referral of cases to mediators); 2) Mediation Process (mediation approach, other mediation participants); 3) Mediator Training (ADA Mediator Training contents and logistics, post-training/mediators support); and 4) Ethics (mediator competency, self-determination, legal and disability-related information, confidentiality). The guidelines also offer resources and supplemental examples.
