A.A. White Dispute Resolution Institute

This organization is part of the University of Houston College of Business Administration. Its purpose is to promote greater understanding of conflict resolution and its impact in society and to encourage expansion of the field. The Center states that as part of this purpose it studies, analyzes and recommends "dispute resolution procedures that will provide less costly and more expeditious access to justice."
The Center "provides assistance to the courts in encouraging the early settlement of pending litigation. The Center also provides assistance to educational institutions, including law schools, in the development and use of alternative dispute resolution concepts and procedures."
