Ms. Wilmet joined Resolution Systems Institute (RSI) in March 2017 as the Resource Center Director. In this role, she researches, writes, and publishes information on RSI’s online resources including RSI’s Court ADR Resource Center,; RSI’s Just Court ADR blog; and RSI’s monthly e-newsletter, Court ADR Connection. Ms. Wilmet also responds to inquiries regarding court ADR in Illinois and across the country.

Ms. Wilmet received her J.D. from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. While at Chicago-Kent, Ms. Wilmet was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and International Moot Court Honor Society. She also earned CALI awards, denoting highest grade, in Legal Writing 2, Professional Responsibility, and her First Amendment seminar.

Ms. Wilmet was first introduced to mediation at Chicago-Kent when she participated in the Mediation Clinic. Through this experience, Ms. Wilmet underwent training to receive her mediation certificate through the Center for Conflict Resolution. As a certified mediator, Ms. Wilmet mediated claims at the Richard J. Daley Center and saw first-hand the successes of mediation. This experience further enhanced her passion for access to justice and interest in ADR.

Prior to law school, Ms. Wilmet earned a B.A. in Communications and English Literature from DePauw University. Outside of her interest in mediation, Ms. Wilmet is incredibly passionate about studying and writing about the communicative, ethical and legal effects of bullying and cyberbullying.
