Judith Rice

Senior Vice President and Head of Community Affairs & Economic Development, BMO Harris Bank

Judith Rice is Senior Vice President and Head of Community Affairs & Economic Development for BMO Harris Bank. Ms. Rice is responsible for overseeing the company's community affairs, government relations, and community development activities, including community development lending and community investments. She also serves as Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) officer for BMO Harris, accountable for the bank's compliance with regulatory requirements related to lending in underserved communities.

After receiving her J.D. from John Marshall Law School in 1988, Ms. Rice began her 17-year-long career with the City of Chicago as Assistant Corporation Counsel. Ms. Rice later served as the first female commissioner of two of the city's key infrastructure agencies: the Department of Water and the Department of Transportation. She then went on to serve as Director of the Department of Revenue and Chicago's City Treasurer. Ms. Rice brought her extensive background of public service to BMO Harris, when she joined the company in 2007.

Active in the community, Ms. Rice serves on the boards of the March of Dimes, UCAN, the Chicago Public Library, Neighborhood Housing Services and the Civic Federation. She is also a member of The Chicago Network and has been recognized for her leadership and work supporting financial literacy by numerous organizations, including the Federal Reserve Board, the Illinois Council of Economic Education, the City Colleges of Chicago and the Nia Foundation.
