• Roundtable discussion organized with London-based Academy of Experts. Brings together leaders of the bench and bar in Illinois to discuss use of mediation in complex commercial and tort litigation.
• Judicial Institute conducted for judges who refer major civil cases to mediation.
• RSI Service to the Community Award presented to Illinois Supreme Court Justice and former RSI Executive Committee member Howard C. Ryan (ret.)
• First full-time Executive Director, Susan M. Yates, hired.

• Major Civil Litigation Mediation Program created in 12th Judicial Circuit. RSI provides mediation training and evaluation software.
