- RSI completes Accessing Justice through Mediation: Pathways for Poor and Low-Income Disputants, a study that examined the potential for using mediation to enhance access to justice for poor and low-income Illinoisans. The study is the result of the project funded by the Illinois Equal Justice Foundation in 2006.
- RSI receives grant from the Illinois Equal Justice Foundation for Statewide Mediation Access Project, (SMAP) in which RSI will assist courts in downstate Illinois to develop mediation programs that promote use of mediation for poor and low-income disputants. SMAP is based on the findings of RSI's Accessing Justice study.
- RSI Director of Research Jennifer Shack completes 2nd edition of Bibliographic Summary of Cost, Pace, and Satisfaction Studies of Court-Related Mediation Programs.
- RSI completes project to select and annotate samples of good court rules from around country to assist courts in writing or amending rules for ADR programs. The project was supported by a grant from the JAMS Foundation.
- RSI works with the Center for Conflict Resolution (CCR) to study how to work throughout Illinois to help local courts and communities develop mediation programs to focus services on legal needs of poor and low-income disputants. The project was supported by a planning grant from the Illinois Equal Justice Foundation.
- RSI begins work with the Center for Conflict Resolution in creating a monitoring and evaluation system for CCR’s mediation services. The project was supported by a grant from the Illinois Equal Justice Foundation.
- RSI receives grant from the James B. Boskey Memorial Foundation in support of a Program Associate to help maintain, develop and market its court ADR resource center.
2008
- Resolution Systems Institute is announced as the new name for Center for Analysis of Alternative Dispute Resolution Systems.
- RSI launches court ADR resource center – CourtADR.org.
- RSI launches new organizational website – AboutRSI.org.
- RSI completes study of the use of mediation for large civil cases in the 17th Judicial Circuit.
- RSI's Statewide Mediation Access Project assists the 11th Judicial Circuit to launch its new Small Claims Mediation Program, providing program development expertise, training, and a monitoring and evaluation system.
- RSI receives grant from the Illinois Equal Justice Foundation to support SMAP's second year.
- RSI completes project assisting the Center for Conflict Resolution with a new monitoring and evaluation system.
- Court ADR Connection, RSI's monthly e-newsletter featuring court ADR news and events from around the US, is launched with funding from the JAMS Foundation.
- RSI receives grant from the James B. Boskey Memorial Foundation to support the ongoing publication of Court ADR Connection.
